KET-PET Exams

CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY ESOL EXAMS
AT STAVRAKI PRIMARY SCHOOL, JUNE 2014
KEY ENGLISH TEST (KET)-PRELIMINARY ENGLISH TEST (PET)

On 14th June, for the first time, the above exams for classes 5 and 6 were held in our school. It was an exciting day as it combined children's and our own anxiousness as to their positive outcome. Our efforts were gratified. Everything worked smoothly. The examiners were very happy and the transition from the written to the oral and vice versa for both exams worked out really well. The reports we got back both from the British Council and Cambridge University were very positive.
The children from the 'frondistiria' in the surrounding area that were allotted by the organisers to take the exams at our school, the 'frondistiria' owners, parents and some private tutors that accompanied the students, told us they liked the friendly environment and felt welcome and at ease.
Overall it was, for all involved, a great first experience which has from now on become... a tradition.
Until next year!
